One of the Midlands’ leading commercial property agencies has underlined its commitment to developing the talent of the future by recruiting a new apprentice under an innovative industry scheme.

Bromwich Hardy has taken on apprentice surveyor Charlie Glover under a new apprenticeship scheme run in partnership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Bromwich Hardy founding partner Tom Bromwich said he believed the agency was the first firm of its size in the region to recruit through the scheme.

“It is absolutely essential that our industry does all it can to develop the next generation of talent – something Bromwich Hardy has always been passionate about.

‘We are delighted to have welcomed Charlie to the team as part of the RICS scheme and look forward to working with him to develop his all-round knowledge of the industry. We are sure it will be the start of a terrific career.”

Charlie said: “I am excited to start at Bromwich Hardy as this will be the first step in my career in commercial real estate. I’m looking forward to working with a great team of professionals who have a huge amount of experience and knowledge.

“As an apprentice I will be combining learning on the job with academic study at Birmingham City University along with becoming accredited as a Chartered Surveyor with RICS. The apprenticeship route is a fantastic opportunity for me.”

Bromwich Hardy has worked with Coventry University over a number of years to identify and develop new talent, helping several surveyors start their careers in the industry.

Bromwich Hardy is one of the country’s largest independent commercial property agencies, regularly featuring in independent lists of the most active firms in the industry.

It was named earlier this year as the most active agent for Warwickshire for the ninth year running as part of the 2022 Annual EG Radius awards and won four awards from industry data experts CoStar for its work in Coventry and Warwickshire.
