Commercial property agency Bromwich Hardy has arranged the sale of a large Midlands recycling site for £4 million.
A private firm has bought the four-acre site known as Canal Side Yard on Brick Yard Road in Napton, Southam.
The sale includes a fully operational skip yard with secured gated access, plus two transferrable Environment Agency waste transfer permits, along with valuable waste transfer equipment.
Tom Bromwich, managing partner of Bromwich Hardy, explained that there had been competitive interest in the freehold site, which had initially been marketed for offers over £3.5 million.
Mr Bromwich said: “We’re delighted at the sale price achieved for this valuable freehold site.
“Sites like this with the waste transfer permits it holds are very hard to come by, and this is what made the deal so attractive.
“The deal was also enhanced by the inclusion of the skip business in the sale.
“Another plus-point for the buyers was excellent road connectivity, with the A425 and A423 both close by and providing direct links to Southam, Daventry, Banbury and Coventry, and the M40 motorway just ten miles away.”
Canal Side Yard includes an open ended, steel framed building, an additional HGV/plant workshop, a single storey office building, dedicated car parking and HGV parking.
It comes with an integrated wheel wash, a modern weighbridge facility and four large capacity interceptors.
Bromwich Hardy agreed the sale on behalf of private vendors. Andrea Knox of Knox Commercial provided legal advice to the vendors, while Paul Makinson of DTM Legal advised the buyers.
