Bromwich Hardy partners and employees gave their time in August helping out at Young People First, the Leamington Spa-based charity which supports those facing challenges to improve their lives.
Staff members volunteered every Thursday at the charity’s family fun sessions, supporting both the organisers and local families attending the events.
Young People First was established in 1964 and has been operating for 70 years under various youth work initiatives and forms in the local area.
Bromwich Hardy partner Dawn Cooper said: “Our involvement included preparing and serving hot meals, hot drinks and soft drinks, setting up rooms to create a welcoming space for families to gather and socialise before activities began, and assisting with the delivery of games and activities throughout the sessions.
“We spent time engaging with attendees through general conversations, helping families feel comfortable and included, and assisted with tidying and cleaning up at the end of each event.
“The volunteering was a fantastic opportunity to support an important local charity, give back to the community, and contribute to creating a positive and enjoyable experience for families.”
Naomi Neale, lead families worker and designated safeguard lead at Young People First, said: “It has been fab having such awesome people join us over the summer.
“I’m not sure they realised how much help they have provided and how much it’s appreciated. Our thanks again to all those that have helped us.”
