Work starts on multi-let industrial development

We’re delighted to be playing our part in a new development which will bring much-needed industrial space to Coventry.

Construction work has started on a major multi-let industrial development brought forward by Barwood, in partnership with Deeley Construction and project managed by CS2.

The 78,000 sq ft scheme at Exhall is located next to Junction 3 of the M6 and will provide industrial space in units ranging from 2,000 sq ft to 27,500 sq ft.

Bromwich Hardy founding partner Tom Bromwich and surveyor Sam Cooper are retained agents for the scheme, together with Adam McGuiness and Milly Aps from Carter Jonas.

Sam said: “This is a really high-quality new development and is exactly the sort of scheme  the region needs to help ensure that supply can keep pace with demand.

“Attention to detail here is second to none, and its terrific location will make this development highly attractive to a wide range of businesses.”

Nick Masters, senior investment manager at Barwood Capital, said: "We expect the prominence of this scheme, its proximity to the M6 motorway and its sustainability credentials to appeal to a range of occupiers in this location.

"The development has been designed to mitigate its carbon footprint using high-quality M&E systems, installation of photovoltaic systems, EV charging points and well considered ecological green spaces. Enquiries at this early stage are robust."

The development is expected to reach practical completion in October this year.

Martin Gallagher, managing director of Deeley Construction, said: "There is a clear need for industrial space which can support businesses seeking to grow and expand in Coventry.

"We are pleased to be underway on site in Exhall and to be working on a scheme which will bring significant benefits to the economy in Coventry and the wider region.

"The development will be delivered with high-sustainability credentials, which is a priority of our business as we work towards our Net Zero goals."
