THE GET AHEAD FAMILY FUN DAY. SERIOUS FUN AND THEN SOME….

There was masses of diverse entertainment, for all ages at the Get Ahead Family fun day.

Kindly hosted by the Hardy family at their home, with unique panoramic views across the open countryside and magnificent gardens, it became every child’s wonderland for the afternoon.

With the children being transformed into face painted characters on request, balloon models aplenty and a huge selection of activities including two bouncy castles. It made for a very quiet journey home for the parents! The live music was performed by James Taylor-Watts an exceptionally talented young local musician.

The Vintage Ice Cream Van was a huge hit and the barbecue was a roaring success. The Get Ahead Charity founder Consultant Surgeon Professor John Watkinson and Chairman Tom Bromwich both gave speeches on the realities of head and neck disease and how important it is to continue the fight to find cures for these diseases.

This family day was a brilliant example of how everyone can have a fantastic time whilst raising money for a very worthwhile charity.
