BROMWICH HARDY BANK ON NEWPORT WITH LATEST ACQUISTION

Bromwich Hardy have recently acted on behalf of private clients in acquiring 14-15 Commercial Street, Newport in Gwent, which is let on a long lease to Barclay’s Bank

The property comprises a prime corner position situated on the pedestrianised section of the eastern side of Newport’s traditional prime pitch, Commercial Street, with a return frontage onto Corn Street. Commercial Street benefits from a strong pedestrian flow and comprises a wide variety of retail, leisure, financial and professional services.

Immediately to the rear of the property is Friars Walk, a new shopping centre in Newport, opened in November 2015 at a cost of around £100m. Stores include Debenhams, H&M, Next and Mothercare, while restaurants and cafes at the centre include Chiquito, Frankie & Benny’s, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Las Iguanas, Le Bistrot Pierre, Nando’s, Prezzo and TGI Fridays.
